Funke Consulting Group was started by three welding engineers that think of one another as family. All three graduated from Ferris Statue University’s Welding Engineering program in the College of Technology between 1995 and 2021. Between the three of us, we have over 30 years of combined welding engineering experience in addition to the years of hands on welding experience before starting our engineering careers. All three of us are members of the American Welding Society and two are AWS certified welding inspectors.
We have worked in automotive for OEM’s, tier 1, tier 2 and tier3 suppliers, aerospace, general industry, robot manufacturers and system integration. We have experience in setting up, programming, and maintaining automated GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), PAW (Plasma Welding), PAC (Plasma Cutting), laser welding, laser cutting, friction stir welding, RSW (resistance spot welding), SAW (submerged arc welding) and UMW (ultrasonic metal welding). We have also been responsible for destructive and non-destructive testing, process qualification, and the training and certification of manual welders.
We have an office in southeast Michigan and a satellite office in Northern Alabama. With today’s technology we may be able to help you regardless of the distance between us.
